I’m looking for a good contractor in the Denver N.C area to build a garage. Can you help me find someone I can trust who has a good reputation?
Hi Dave,
We always recommend at least 2 estimates based on a drawing and specs you
may have for your project. In the future our Preferred contractor page will be the place to find quality service providers from the roof to the basement. Check often for new listings.
We need to update our laminate kitchen cabinets at home. We are considering refacing vs. new cabinets but the estimates we’ve gotten are very high to us – $8,000 – $10,000 range. Interesting that all the brochures we have about refacing say its affordable and much cheaper than installing new cabinets. Any comments on refacing and contractors that do this at an affordable price? Thanks.
Hi Deborah,
The reason they say it is cheaper is there is no need to remove the cabinets and counter tops and replace. A low end kitchen remodel today is about 20K+/- using new low to middle end cabinets,
laminate counter tops, flooring, sink, faucet, and appliances.
Check our Find a Contractor for Preferred Service Providers. Check often as we are adding qualified
Service Providers monthly.
I am interested in putting a bathroom in my basement. However, the sewer line out of the house is approximately 6 feet off of the basement floor. How do I install a toilet and sink to drain. It obviously won’t gravity feed out. Any ideas?? Thanks, Mike.
Hi Mike,
You can do a search for upflow toilets. Here you will find products like Qwik Jon Systems, Zoeller, Saniflow, ect… These units allow you to place toilets, showers, lavatories, and laundry sinks below the main sewer line, the unit then pumps the waste up to the sewer line. Toilet models will have a grinder for solid waste. These units need to be vented properly so be sure to contact a plumber or ask your local building standards department when you apply for the plumbing permit.
